Original vaulted, old wooden ceilings, arcades, traditional wine cellars and wine presses, and in particular... a lot of stairs! Our hotel restaurant in the middle of Weißenkirchen in der Wachau is spread across four historical, carefully preserved buildings in the heart of the picturesque World Heritage Site. Here, no single wall is straight and hardly any of our 40 rooms are alike in size or in character. Each building offers its own style and charm.

Four buildings. Does that sound a bit spread out? It really isn’t. But actually, a little distance never hurts – particularly when it comes to peace and comfort. A short walk to your room after breakfast in the sun or perhaps after sampling our regional, seasonal delicacies means you can experience our romantic vineyard up close.

One thing is for sure... Regardless of the building you end up in, you’ll always feel comfortable – we promise.

Relax in the historic vaults with a sauna session, steam room, infra-red cabin, sensory showers and relaxation rooms as well as four suites with exclusive facilities and 50m2 of space to relax along with two double rooms in the cosy, country-house style. This is our Spa Building Winzerhaus that dates back to the 16th century and it is right next to the Stammhaus (short foot walk with 300 meters).

The check-in to the wellness house can be done with our electric car.

Great food is close to our hearts. And that’s why we completely rely on our own skills. Everything that can be home made, is home made.

Why not sample probably the world’s best apricot dumplings, the local delicacy of calf lung, venison specialities, pikeperch or (with a martini) a freshly fried goose?

We really liked this historic inn with its various different spaces. The atmosphere in the renovated, very well-kept hotel is just fantastic. Wholeheartedly recommended.
